What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is simply defined as Constantly varied functional movement performed at high intensity.  

 

So what exactly does that mean?

Functional movement includes pulling, pushing, pressing, squatting, running, jumping, and of course, picking things up and putting them down.  These are things we naturally do in everyday life.  CrossFit uses Olympic weightlifting, Power Lifting, gymnastic skills, kettlebells, squat racks, jump ropes, rowers, assault bikes, weighted exercises, bodyweight exercises, and more to combine these everyday functional movements into countless different workouts that are creative, challenging, and effective.  At Kong CrossFit you will have days when you lift heavy, days when you breathe heavy, and days when you do a combination of both.  The constant variety and intensity of the workouts will keep you on your toes and get you in the best shape of your life.
